Placing property and manage adsPLACING PROPERTY ADVERTISEMENTS AND HOW TO MANAGE THEM
May I delete or deactivate an already sold or rented property from my account?
No, every advertisement is visible until the publication expiry date on the VCRE.CA website.
How to give information that the property is sold or rented?Any advertiser may change a property status by clicking on a "rented/sold" button in the list of Online Ads located next to each advertisement. In that case, an advertisement for a sold or rented property will be displayed in a different way. People looking for a property will then be able to see if a property is still available or not.
What are the different advertisement statuses?
An important point here is not to get confused with the property status. "Pending" status Before publishing an advertisement online, each advertiser registers his advertisement in a list of "Ads in phase of creation". As long as the advertisement is not online, it stays in that list and may be modified at will. There is no limit to the number of times an advertisement may be modified. The advertiser may create as many advertisements as his credit number allows him to. In fact, the advertiser will have to buy ahead of time as many advertisements as he wishes to create and register. Once the registered advertisement is published in the list of Ads in phase of creation, there is not time limit for the advertiser to publish it online. It is only when the advertisement is online and validated by the VCRE.CA Team that the advertisement credit is debited.
"Online" status Once the advertisement is published online, it is then transferred from the list of Ads in phase of creation to Online Ads. From that moment, no modification may be done to that advertisement. The advertiser may only change the property status by clicking on a "rented/sold" button. The advertisement will be displayed until the expiry date of publication.
What date is considered as the start date of publication?
The date of publication for an advertisement starts when the advertisement is validated.
When and how many times may I modify my advertisement?Any advertisement may be modified as many times as necessary as long as it is not online. What are the available publication durations?
When an advertiser buys advertisements, he gets the following online duration choices.
How long does it take for my advertisement to be published online?Once you have requested for an advertisement to be published online, the validation is done within 24 to 48 hours.
How to fill in information on a property to sell or rent?Information to provide on properties may be of three different types:
- Check boxes,
They allow you to easily select options which apply to your property to sell or rent. No unchecked option will be displayed in your advertisement.
This choice list allows you select the option which applies to your property to sell or rent. For some lists, you may leave this field empty or "blank". In that case the option will not be displayed in your advertisement.
You may have to briefly fill some text boxes with a limited number of characters. However, you can write a text of up to 300 characters right at the bottom of your advertisement. While avoiding redundancies with the chosen options, you may give additional information on property quality (work and renovation, if the property is immediately available...).
How many pictures may I upload for each advertisement?Whatever the type of property whether it is a sale or rental and the length of online publication, you may upload up to 15 pictures.
What are the image and picture features?
Pictures must be in the following format JPG or GIF.
May I extend an advertisement when the end date of publication has expired?Yes. Once the end date of publication has expired for the advertisement, the expiry date is replaced by the "expired" status. The advertisement is transferred in the list of Archived Advertisements. This advertisement is then not visible by visitors looking for a property on the VCRE.CA website.
Once the payment has been made and because the advertisement has already been validated, it is visible right away by visitors of the VCRE.CA website. The advertisement is then transferred to the list of Online Ads. This expiry date is instantaneously and automatically calculated. The advertisement "expired" status is replaced by the new expiry date.
How to extend the publication duration of an advertisement?
The advertiser must access his account and go to the "My Ads" page. He can extend or renew the publication duration of advertisements located in the list of Online Ads and Archived Ads by clicking on the "extend" or "renew" button of the appropriate advertisement.
