There are two types of members on the VCRE.CA website:

a) members looking for a property
b) Individual and professional advertisers.

One does not exclude the other : a member may be both advertising and looking for a property . In that case, he gets every tool available to him for advanced management as well as for his research for a property to sell or rent.

Below are all services offered to each type of members :

Regarding members looking for a property

- No information is required to subscribe.
- Just choose a username, a password as well as a valid email address.

The member may:

In the "My favourites" section of his account

- Save advertisements that might be of interest to him so that he can access them more quickly during his next visits to the VCRE.CA website.

In the "My Alerts" section of his account

- Save several search criteria under one single name allowing him to start over his different researches in an easier and faster way during his next visits to the VCRE.CA website.

- Set one or more “saved searches” to the alert functionality by ticking the "Receive results" check box. He then receives in real time and by email every single rental or selling property description corresponding to his choices.

Regarding advertising members

To publish an advertisement, the member has to enter personal information, some of which will be chosen by the member to appear on the description files. However, his surname, name and email address are required information which may not be removed from the description files in order for the advertiser to be contacted.

In addition to all basic services described above and offered to all regular members, the advertiser gets access to the following tools:

In the "My Invoices" section of his account

The advertiser has access to every invoice of every advertisement purchased. He may consult and print them anytime.

In the "My Ads" section

The advertiser has access to four different lists:

1- Ads in phase of Creation

This section consists in a list of all advertisements which have been saved but have not been validated yet. They may still be modified before being published online. Moreover, the advertiser may preview them the way they will appear online. No advertisement from this list can be seen by visitors looking for a property on the VCRE.CA website.

2- Pending Ads

Once a request has been made for an advertisement to be published online, it is moved to this list. Once the advertisement has been validated by the VCRE.CA Team (24-48 hours), the "pending validation" advertisement is moved to the "Online Advertisements" list.

3- Online Ads

This section consists in a list of all advertisements viewable by all visitors looking for a property to rent or sell on the VCRE.CA website.

“rented” or “sold” properties are viewable until their expiry date while allowing visitors to choose whether or not they want to display “rented” and “sold” properties in their search results.

From that moment, the advertiser may not modify it anymore except the price which may be changed anytime.

4- Archived Ads

This list is made of advertisements whose publication has expired. The advertiser may publish them online again without going through the validation process. To do so, he needs to make sure he has enough advertisement credit.
